Horizon Geosciences is committed to providing quality marine science using the very best people, technology, equipment and data acquisition techniques. Our service offering has evolved in tune with the markets in which we operate and today, we are pleased to provide a diverse range of multi-disciplinary services to clients around the world.

What sets us apart

Horizon strives to identify each client’s needs, meet their requirements and exceed their expectations. As a measurement of the overall performance of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System, we conduct feedback reporting with our clients to ensure we continually improve the quality of our services. We tailor teams and solutions to client’s needs and a Project Manager is assigned to every project to ensure objectives are met and delivered to a high standard.

The health and safety of our personnel is also at the forefront of our business. We are continuously committed to conducting our operations in a safe and responsible manner and have identified that communication is key when carrying out any task which is why we have a no blame culture within the company and maintain transparency in all matters relating to Health & Safety.

We have a team of qualified professionals, specifically focused on identifying foreseeable hazards in the workplace. They coordinate and control the implementation of appropriate risk control measures and review the effectiveness of our safe systems of work on a continuous basis.

Credentials & qualifications

Horizon is committed to delivering a quality turnkey survey and geotechnical service to our clients and has achieved various accreditations by Lloyds. We are corporate and/or committee members of various governing bodies and industry authorities including IMCA, SUT, Achilles and IAGC. Our Geotechnical Laboratory is accredited to UKAS Accreditation under ISO/IEC 17025:2005.

We are always on the lookout for motivated DP2 Marine Crew, click on each job title below to view the experience and qualifications required:
Minimum 3 years previous DP2 experience preferably with KM experience. Masters Unlimited preferred.
2 years previous DP2 experience and First Mates STCW CoC.

1 years previous DP2 experience and with OOW Certification or better.

Bachelor’s Degree with Honors in Geology or Civil Engineering (with specialization in Geotechnics) MSc (ideally PhD) in a relevant discipline in a distinct advantage with 5-10 years documented experience.

M.Sc. of B.Sc. or Engineering Level in Hydrographic Surveying or related discipline with minimum of two years’ experience in the marine survey industry and minimum of one year experience in project management.

Minimum 3 years previous DP2 experience preferably with KM experience. Masters Unlimited preferred.
At least 2 years previous experience with K Pos and a DP Maintenance Certificate.
Similar to C/E but only 2 years previous experience required. DP Maintenance Certificate would be an advantage but not essential. Minimum Class 2 CoC required.
