These vessels are diesel powered to allow them to support our survey vessels in oil and gas fields where petrol engines are restricted. The nearshore survey boats are predominantly used to support our offshore survey vessels and are typically mobilised onto the larger vessels to perform any survey where shallow waters or difficult access precludes the larger vessels from operating.
These vessels have been designed to operate in water depths as shallow as 2m or less; depending on the seafloor topography and type; conducting both hydrographic and geophysical surveys. They are also capable of conducting shallow seabed sampling with grab samplers or similar.
